Figma
Comments on design files become memory. Changes arrive by webhook, once you choose a Figma team to watch.
Early access
This connector is new. Some parts are still coming (listed below). If you can't connect it yet, ask us to switch it on.
What SeamTrail reads
- Comments on the Figma files linked to a feature. They become memory.
- File updates: that a linked file changed.
How changes arrive
- Webhook. Figma has no page for webhook settings. So after you connect, tell SeamTrail which Figma team to watch (see below). SeamTrail then turns on comment and file-update events for that team.
Permissions
| Permission | Why SeamTrail asks for it |
|---|---|
current_user:read | Know who connected. |
file_content:read, file_metadata:read, file_versions:read | Read the files you link, and their versions. |
file_comments:read | Read comments. |
file_comments:write | Allows commenting. SeamTrail never comments on its own. |
webhooks:read, webhooks:write | Turn on comment and update events for the team you choose. |
Connect
- Open your org's Settings → Tools.
- Next to Figma, click Connect. (Org Admins and Managers.)
- Approve SeamTrail in Figma.
- Under Figma — watch a team, paste your Figma team ID or team URL. Click Watch team.
Linking a Figma file to a feature needs an org Admin or Manager.
Coming soon
- Frames as sections, so a design edit starts a drift check.
