Integrations overview

The tools SeamTrail connects to, what it reads from each, and how changes arrive.

SeamTrail connects to the tools your team already uses. Nothing moves out of them.

How connecting works

  • The org's connection. An org Admin or Manager connects each tool once, in the org's Settings → Tools. SeamTrail uses it for background work: reading changes, keeping the memory, checking drift.
  • Your own login. What you do yourself — link an item, read a ticket live, ask the agent — runs on your own login to that tool. So the tool decides what you can see. SeamTrail never falls back to an admin's access. Add your login in your own Settings → Connections.
  • On or off. An org Admin or Manager turns each tool on or off in the org's Settings → Tools. Only the tools that are on show up for the people in the org. See Settings.
  • Read first. SeamTrail never writes into your tools on its own. It writes only when someone asks it to, and confirms.

How changes arrive

  • Webhook: the tool tells SeamTrail as soon as something changes.
  • Polling: the tool has no webhook for apps like SeamTrail. So SeamTrail checks for changes every few minutes.

Early access means the connector is built, and some parts are still coming. Each tool's page says what works today. If you can't connect a tool yet, ask us to switch it on.

Your own login, per tool

ToolYour own login
Jira and ConfluenceYes. Connect it under Your logins.
SlackNot needed. The SeamTrail bot works only in channels you are a member of.
GitHubNot needed today.
All other toolsNot available yet. SeamTrail can't check your access there, so only an org Admin or Manager can link their items.

Every tool feeds memory and drift

What people write in a connected tool — messages, comments, descriptions, meeting summaries — goes to SeamTrail as text. A decision in it becomes memory and can start a drift check. Each tool's page lists what it does not send yet.
