Confluence

Linked pages are split into sections. An edited section starts a drift check. SeamTrail checks the pages every few minutes.

Status: Available. It comes with the same Atlassian connection as Jira.

What SeamTrail reads

  • The pages you link to a feature.
  • Each page is split into sections by its headings. SeamTrail keeps each section's text, so it can see exactly what changed.
  • Ticket numbers mentioned in a page. They feed suggestions and link tickets to sections.

How changes arrive

  • Checked every few minutes. Confluence does not send webhooks to apps like SeamTrail. So SeamTrail checks each linked page's version number. It reads the page again only when the version changed.
  • Don't want to wait? Click Update memory on the feature. SeamTrail reads its docs right away.

An edited section starts a drift check. A typo fix or a reworded sentence raises nothing.

Permissions

PermissionWhy SeamTrail asks for it
read:space:confluenceList your spaces, so you can pick where a page lives.
read:page:confluenceRead the pages you link.
write:page:confluenceCreate a page, when you ask SeamTrail to.

These come with the Atlassian connection, together with the Jira permissions.

Connect

Confluence is connected when you connect Jira + Confluence. See Jira → Connect.

Good to know

  • You can link a page only if your own Atlassian login can open it.
  • SeamTrail never edits your pages. It creates a page only when you ask.
