Audit log

Who did what, and when. Records cannot be changed or deleted, and you can download them as CSV.

The audit log shows who did what, and when, in your org.

Open it from the org's Settings → Audit log. Org Admins can see it.

Workspace and team Admins see their own part of it: the workspace's or team's Settings → Audit log. A workspace's log includes its teams and its features. It never shows anything from other workspaces.

What it records

AreaExamples
Sign-insSomeone signed in.
Companies and orgsA company or an org was created or renamed. Someone was made company Admin or Manager, or lost that role.
People and rolesSomeone was invited, their role changed, or they were removed.
ToolsA tool was connected for the org, or turned on or off. The company's Microsoft admin approved SeamTrail.
Personal loginsSomeone connected or removed their own login to a tool.
AI assistantsSomeone connected or removed an AI assistant.
FeaturesA feature was created or renamed. People were added or removed, or their role changed. An Admin was named for a feature that had none.
WorkspacesA workspace was created, renamed or deleted. Someone was invited, added, given another role, or removed.
TeamsA team was created, renamed or deleted. Someone was invited, added, given another role, or removed. Where its work lives changed.
Deploy rulesA deploy key was created. A repo's gate mode changed. A promotion rule was added, changed or removed.
SettingsA setting was changed, enforced, or reset, at the company, the org, a workspace, a team, or by a person for themselves. The entry shows the old and the new value.

When an AI assistant did something for a person, the entry says "via assistant". Work that SeamTrail did by itself shows as "SeamTrail".

For sign-ins and other access events, the log also keeps the IP address the request came from. Point at the entry to see it.

Filter and download

  • What: pick an area, or Everything.
  • When: last 7 days, 30 days, 90 days, or the last year.
  • Download CSV: saves the entries that match your filters as a CSV file. It opens in any spreadsheet app. (In the org's log.)

It cannot be changed

Records can only be added. Nobody can change or delete them, not even an Admin.

Each org has its own audit log. One org never sees another org's records.
